Nearing our second upload!!
We got a lot done this week! Since our first upload we have done a lot. We have started recording on our second skill that is "layups". We started of on monday at the basketball court. Our first clip on "basic layups". We were on the basketball court for about the whole class and in this time we got all kinds of layups and short drills for them done.Image result for how to do a layup
It is a great progress for us as we don't have much left to record except for starting on  "basic shooting" and then we will be moving on to “advanced shooting” and then finally to “match strategies” and “tricks”. Well that's a long journey but when I reflect back at or current progress and success as a team I feel relieved. We  have some great fun time working together on this project of “how to basketball”. Then on Wednesday we started on reviewing and making corrections where needed on our layups video. I believe that that we are moving in the right path and of course without challenges there is no success and so we will encounter many challenges and have already came across a lot of them but have even faced them and have made success out of them. I would like to conclude by saying that “we are really doing well and shall keep up with our working speed and progress”. Here is a link to our first video that was on "dribbling".

Our first upload!!

Alot work has been done this week. Finally our group got its first video uploaded this week! This is a great success for our team. But the process to upload one five minutes is too long. On the first day of the week that is Sunday we decided to edit our first video that was on the basics of dribbling with some drills included. We started editing on the starting of class we got on to the old learning commence, found ourselves a quiet spot to work at and then started on the editing. To do this first we transferred all our videos related to this topic that we had taken, then we started adding graphics and did the voiceover for the videos, we then started searching up for background music on youtube for videos that would be appropriate for our videos then we started adding them to our videos and then once we were done with the whole video, we went over once again and then found out that we had some introductions to what was going to happen next, because there was direct transition from one topic to the other was direct and there was no idea of what was going on in the video, so we then added extra 20 seconds before ever video for transition. We were all set to upload but uploading takes a lot of time and we did not have enough time, so we decided to do it on the starting of the next class. It was Tuesday we got on the basketball court and then we got on Ayham’s ipad(our group  mate) and went on to upload our first video. While the video was uploading we got on to the court and started recording for our next video which will be hopefully uploaded by wednesday( 25 January,2017). Now looking forward to Thursday, we already have planned a lot. We are getting the layups video recording and will hopefully start on the editing if we have time in our hands. This was a really productive week for us and we got a lot done during these two days and hopefully we will upload the second video by Wednesday(25 January, 2017).

Projects on the go!
It is the first week of school after winter break and we are back in action and so are our projects. Our projects got a kick start from Monday (9 January, 2017). First media  literacy class of the year and we started on our project. Our project is “how to basketball” and in this project we will be making 1 or 2 videos per week and will be uploading them on YouTube. We will be coming up with new ideas and skills. Our first video that was recorded on Monday (9 january, 2017)  was on basics of basketball. This video includes different styles of dribbling with the basics. Our second video that was on advanced dribbling and  basics of shooting was recorded on Wednesday (11 January, 2017). Our goal is to get these videos edited and uploaded by the start of next week. The main challenge or difficulty that I see in this project is the uploading and editing. Editing videos takes a lot of time, and so does uploading. We have 12 weeks in and out of which we have already lost 3-4 that means that we only have 8-9 weeks and that is not much time, we will have to speed up things and get pumped up for the Ted talk also. But when I look at our current progress with this project then I fell relieved as we have done a lot in 2 days, and have done well as a team so far, but still there is long way to go!
